Hey! I'm Iro and I am the webmaster of kuroiro.

I'm a college student majoring in communications and I love coding(even though I suck at it),making sites as a hobby and generally creating things!

My interests include EGL fashion,vkei(esp subgenres like menhera kei,tanbi kei and loud kei),gl and bl media,video games and art.I also really love learning about sociology and learning new languages.

I've been interested in coding ever since I was 12 and I started learning HTML back then.Most of my cousins and other teens I was around were way older than me so I experienced the MySpace customization days and the old web through them, so I always wanted to make a website for myself and decorate it however I want to.

I'm bad at naming things so I honestly had no idea what the name of the site should be T_T. I ultimately decided on kuroiro after my favorite sanrio character,kuromi, + my name.Kuro(黒) also means "Black" in Japanese and Iro(色) means color, so the name of the site would also translate to "the color black".

I ultimately made this site so I can escape social media.I hate hate hate generative AI and slop content.I used to waste my time on TikTok but making this site + cultivating my interests and searching on my own for cool stuff has helped me take things slow.

Repth:Code Templates:Used theme 35 and theme 25 to create the basic layout of the site.

Mythltoc: I just really love the site's aesthetic and kept coming back for inspiration.

W3Schools: Used their Tryit Editor A LOT.

All backgrounds except this one are made by me. I found this background on Pixel Moondust's Geocities Background Collection and made a texture checker with pycheung's Seamless Texture Checker tool.

The site button was made on Sadgrl's 88x31 Button Maker and the image used was made by me.

All blinkies/stamps found on tumblr!! Most are linked back to their creators.
